Franklin D. Roosevelt’s Cabinet (1934)
Welcome to the Historical Presidential Cabinet at BELLARMUN 2025! Founded in 1787, the committee, first known as the Presidential Advisory Body, was created to assist the president in coordinating matters of foreign and domestic affairs. The Cabinet developed from its original 4 members to the cabinet known today with positions such as the Secretary of the Interior and the Secretary of the Navy. The Presidential Cabinet plays a direct role in large-scale actions of the US government. Whether the nation is going to war or switching away from the gold standard, as a member of the Presidential cabinet, you will play a crucial role in forming the policies and actions that the US will take to mitigate crises.
You will become the ones with the power to rewrite the future of our nation. The year is now 1934 and your president, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, has turned to you to save a nation destroyed by the Great Depression; are you up to the task?

Director
Sofia Estudillo is a Junior at Bellarmine and she is thrilled to be serving as the Director of the Historical Presidential Cabinet! Sofia first began her Model UN journey back at BELLARMUN 2022, meeting people who would further her passion to learn more about the world around her, and ever since then has continued her Model UN journey throughout highschool years. Outside of debate Sofia can be found in the pool having swam competitively for the past 8 years. Not only that, Sofia also loves music, and is willing to attend any concert no matter the genre. Sofia hopes that BELLARMUN 2025 allows delegates to bond with one another while encouraging them to continue on their MUN path. She can’t wait to see you in committee and she hopes you’ll love the HPC just as much as she does!

Chair
Nadia Kohles is a senior at Bellarmine Preparatory school and is exhilarated to serve as Chair for the Presidential Cabinet! She was pushed by her friends to try MUN her Junior year and hasn’t looked back since. Since her first time trying HCC at SeattleMUN 2024, she has fallen in love with the imaginative environment crisis and cabinet committees provide. Though her MUN career has been short, she found she enjoys the conference experience both as a delegate and behind the dias table. Her outside interests vary but are all equally dorky. She is the proud president of her school’s Knowledge Bowl team, an avid rower, and a fantasy/sci-fi and horror enthusiast. You’re sure to find her at the nearest bookstore, nose buried in a novel. Known for her interesting vocabulary and inventive (albeit not always practical) ideas, Nadia hopes the delegates in the Presidential Cabinet will be able to allow their imaginations to run wild, no matter what the next crisis update will bring.

Assistant Director
Hector Ramirez is a Junior at Bellarmine and is thrilled to be serving as the Assistant Director of the Historical Presidential Cabinet! Hector first started his MUN journey at BELLARMUN 2021, which he can’t say he paid much attention to, but he fully embraced the world of MUN during Bellarmun’s sixth iteration in 2022. Ever since, Hector has been set on a wonderful journey, participating in MUN his whole high school career and learning new things every step of the way. Other than Model UN Hector has many passions that he pursues including a flowering career on the pitch as a winger and midfielder. At home, Hector enjoys his life with two corgis and one cat. Hector is ecstatic for the incoming delegates and hopes that they may also be just inspired by BELLARMUN as he was, and encourages delegates to not be intimidated by this new experience and instead embrace it and all the learning opportunities it has to offer.
